Online Consultations

At Beach and Bay Vet, we are happy to offer telemedicine consultations for our existing clients. This involves a discussion via video link with one of our vets, and allows you to show them the issues you may be having with your pet.

These consultations may be utilised for:

Requests for refills of your pet’s medication

Ongoing skin issues

Ongoing/existing behaviour concerns

Dental checks (if you can lift your dog’s lip to show the teeth)

Care and comfort checks for old patients

Rechecks after surgery

General health discussions

Wound assessments

Rechecks on previously diagnosed medical issues, e.g. stable kidney disease

Ongoing palliative care for patients with terminal issues

Triaging of new issues (where a vet advises whether or not your pet needs to come in to the clinic for a regular consultation)

To book a telemedicine consultation, please phone the clinic as usual to arrange an appointment time. We will then organise a video consultation via a secure link, allowing you to connect to one of our vets at the clinic using your home computer, phone or tablet.

Please note that payment will need to be finalised prior to the beginning of the consultation – this can be done over the phone or via the video link. We can then email you a payment receipt.
